From Stage to Page, a Writing Workshop
Are you writing a solo play and feel like it may not be a play after all, but a novel or short story? Or have you written and performed your one-person show and are now looking for your next step?

This one-day workshop will enlighten you on the process of turning your piece for the stage into a piece for the page. The session will begin with an overview on the art of adaptation. Then each participant will have a chance to talk a bit about his/her project and goals. I will introduce writing exercises and tips that will get you going in the right direction. Finally, I’ll tell you everything I can about the grueling process of finding a publisher.

Over the past eight years, I have performed my solo play, Lylice, in festivals, theaters, and classrooms all over the world. Four years ago I decided I wanted to write a book based on the play. Next to Mexico (based on Lylice), came out with Houghton Mifflin in August, 2008.

After the workshop, get your signed copy of Next to Mexico.
Treats will be provided!
